Your family received our "Family Calendar & Handbook" as a gift early in the school year.  If you missed getting one, please contact the office.

Here are the important dates for the 2009/2010 school year.

1st Term - September-November 2009:

October 29/09- Photo Retake Day starting at 12 pm (until 1:30 pm)

October 30/09- SRE Hallowe'en Olympics (all K students attend in the morning)

November 1/09- Daylight Savings Time begins (set clocks back 1 hour)

November 9/09- Peace Assembly @ 10 am (all K students attend in the morning)

November 16/09- PM Cultural Performance: Figuren Theatre Puppets (all K students attend in the afternoon)

November 20/09- E.L.F.F. Program (Early Learning for Families)--tentative date.  This event will be for 3-5 year old children and their families.

November 27/09- 1st Term Report Cards issued

November 27/09- 1st Term Intermediate Awards Assembly @ 12:15 pm

November 30/09- Celebration Assembly @ 12:15 pm featuring an Aboriginal Cultural Presentation

2nd Term - December 2009-March 2010:

December 9/09 @ 12:15 pm- School Concert Dress Rehearsal

December 10/09 @ 6:30 pm- School Concert

December 17/09- PAC Family Dance (watch for the special notice for information)

December 18/09- Movie Day (PM)

December 19/09-January 3rd- Winter Break

January 4/10- Classes resume

January 14 &15/10- SRE Spelling Bee

January 27/10- PM Cultural Performance: Ryan Donn (all K students attend in the afternoon)

January 28 & 29/10- Mid-Term Conferences (no K classes in session, Gr. 1-6 Early Dismissal @ 12:30 pm)

February 12-28/10- Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics

February 18/10- Harmony Day (SRE's Annual Multicultural Celebration)

February 19/10- District-Wide Non-Instructional Day (COTA Professional Development Day)

March 1-5/10- Education Week in School District No. 23

March 4/10- 2nd Term Report Cards issued

March 5/10- 2nd Term Intermediate Awards Assembly

March 6-21/10- Spring Break

3rd Term - March-June 2010:

March 22/10- Classes resume

March 26/10- PM Cultural Performance: Norman Foote (all K students attend in the afternoon)

April 2/10- Good Friday (Schools Closed-Statutory Holiday)

April 5/10- Easter Monday (Schools Closed-Statutory Holiday)

April 26/10- Daily Track & Field Program begins for all Intermediate students

April 28/10- AM Cultural Performance: Duffle Bag Theatre (all K students attend in the morning)

Mid-May- Intermediate Apple Bowl Track and Field Meet (exact date is not yet known)

May 24/10- Victoria Day (Schools Closed- Statutory Holiday)

May 28/10- Primary Play Day (AM- Games, PM- Movie)

June 5/10- Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast from 8:00-9:30 am

June 9/10- District Apple Bowl Track & Field Meet

June 10/10- SRE Health & Wellness Fair (watch the school newsletter for details)

June 18/10- Grade 6 "Rocket Launch" Celebration Evening from 6:30-8 pm

June 28/10- Intermediate Awards Assembly @ 8:40 am, Slide Show @ 9:20 am (all K students attend in the morning)

June 29/10- Annual Waterslides Field Trip (Vernon) for Gr. 1-6 classes, all K students attend for a Pizza Party in the morning, 3rd Term Report Cards issued

June 30/10- Administrative Day (staff attendance only)

June 30/10- Summer Break begins (Classes resume on Tuesday, September 7, 2010)
